Team Vitality signs Perkz, Alphari and Carzzy to bring Europe back to the top of League of Legends.

A titanic LEC roster

Three of Europe’s greatest League of Legends athletes have joined the ranks of Team Vitality. Eight-time LEC European Championship winner and 2019 Worlds runner-up Luka “Perkz” Perković, two-time 2021 League of Legends European Championship (LEC) winner Matyáš “Carzzy” Orsá, and top lane superstar Barney “Alphari” Morris form the new LEC team alongside Selfmade and Labrov.

After eight years of building Team Vitality into the largest French esports and gaming brand, the organization is accelerating its development to become a European leader by investing in some of the most accomplished athletes in esports history. Team Vitality is pursuing its performance strategy, with the ambition of reaching the League of Legends Worlds finals. The club has brought together established athletes, promising rookies and experienced coaches, all supported by high-end infrastructure and performance centers. Team Vitality has international rosters, with athletes and staff members from 10 different nationalities, spread between the LEC and the LFL.

Perkz, Alphari, and Carzzy join Labrov and Selfmade to form an explosive team ready to carve their way to the top of the European stage. The signing of Perkz represents one of the most iconic League of Legends transfers to date. As the top player in Europe, Perkz is the only athlete to have won eight consecutive LEC titles. His track record doesn’t stop there, with victories at the 2021 League of Legends Championship Series Mid-Season Showdown, the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational, and appearances at four Worlds, including a spot in the 2019 Finals. Bringing international expertise with his long-standing European background and North American experience, Perkz is one of only two players to have won major titles in both Europe and North America, providing a huge boost to Team Vitality’s ambitious goals.

“I am very excited to return to Europe and join Team Vitality. When I was approached to be a part of the team, I knew right away that they had real ambition and a desire to make 2022 their year. I am ready to take my career to new heights and I know that Team Vitality is where I can continue to make League of Legends history,” said Luka “Perkz” Perković.
