TEAM VITALITY WINS INTEL EXTREME MASTERS KATOWICE 2025

Tonight, Team Vitality was crowned champion of the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Katowice 2025 at the Spodek Arena against Team Spirit. This is the first time that the French club has won the prestigious trophy, a true reference on the Counter-Strike scene.

For Team Vitality, it's a new line that is being written on its reference FPS game. After a transitional year in 2024 and the victory of Cologne, the roster is getting back into its rhythm with the first place in the HLTV ranking in its sights. The club's ambition is to achieve emblematic performances year after year and to inscribe the name of Team Vitality in the annals of major competitions.

THE END OF THE CURSE

This tournament has never smiled on Team Vitality or any other French team. But it is this new formidable roster that will have managed to go all the way and overcome the curse. Together, the five players were able to impose themselves against the best teams on the scene and [ MVP ] was crowned best player of the tournament for his decisive role during the grand final.

After a disappointing result at BLAST Bounty in January, the team had to reassure and demonstrate its strength, especially after the arrival of its new recruit ropz. From the group stages, the roster led by French captain Dan “apEX” Madesclaire showed perfect control by chaining victories against 3DMAX, FaZe Clan, then Virtus Pro. Qualified directly for the semi-final, Team Vitality shone against The Mongolz (13-7, 13-9) by proving its ability to dominate.

In the grand final, Team Vitality managed to bring Team Spirit to its knees by inflicting a 3-0 victory on them (13-6, 13-5, 13-11 ).

A NEW PAGE FOR THE TEAM VITALITY LEGACY

The victory in Katowice marks the club's first success of the year in Counter-Strike. By defeating Team Spirit at the Spodek Arena, Team Vitality has written its name in the annals of Counter-Strike. And the club has achieved the feat of winning the two most prestigious tournaments on the international scene with the "Counter-Strike Cathedral" in Cologne (2024) and the "Hall of Heroes" in Katowice (2025).

By winning this major tournament, Team Vitality secures a leading position for the rest of the year. The team intends to regain its place at the top of the team rankings as in 2023 after its multiple victories, including that of the Paris Major.
