Canadian-born Sayff, 33, has established himself as one of the most formidable players on the Street Fighter scene in North America, thanks to his offensive gameplay and spectacular combos.

In Street Fighter V, Sayff was one of the best players in the world with the character of Urien. He impressed with his use of technical abilities such as the famous “Aegis reflector”. More recently, on Street Fighter 6, Sayff found his rhythm with the Ken character using an explosive style. Sayff continued to shine in numerous competitions, dominating the Canadian scene. He took first place at the North American Midwest and placed in the top 8 at last February’s Capcom Cup X – the biggest Street Fighter tournament in history.

His achievements are made all the more remarkable by the fact that he manages to reconcile his passion for fighting games with a career in science. In civilian life, he is a leading scientist with over 10 years’ experience in atmospheric chemistry and climate change research. He holds a PhD in this field, and has also been a visiting scientist at Harvard University. Through his experience, Sayff hopes to inspire the next generation of players to pursue excellence in education and in all aspects of their lives.

With a career marked by numerous victories and a reputation as a player both technical and ferocious, Sayff hopes to continue his ascent with the support of Team Vitality and win new prestigious titles!
