Riot Games et Team Vitality réitèrent l’expérience B2B sur League of Legends : La Ligue Corpo

Riot Games and Team Vitality reiterate the B2B experience on League of Legends: The Corpo League

Corpo League Season 2 is here!

After a season 1 bringing together 8 teams composed of companies among the leaders of their respective sectors, Team Vitality is launching the Corpo League season 2, the first official amateur corporate competition in Europe on League of Legends in collaboration with Riot Games.

Paris, November 2, 2021: Can esports be a vector of quality of life at work, a tool for teambuilding and creating social bonds within a company? Team Vitality and Riot Games answer yes! After a successful first season, the two entities are launching into the Corpo League season 2, with the aim of increasing the number of participants by more than 20%.

For Jérôme Pujol, Head of Gaming Leisure at Team Vitality: “We want to make a big impact with the next edition, which will run throughout 2022, first of all with the increase from 8 to 10 teams. It will also and above all be with the creation of a second split as well as 2 inter-season tournaments. For companies, these are 10 months of turnkey gaming entertainment to offer to their employees!”

In 2021, some of the largest companies in France such as Orange, Afflelou and Engie competed for the title by competing on the Summoner's Rift, the arena of the famous game “League of Legends”. During 10 weeks of competition, 8 teams trained and then faced off during competitive evenings. This year again, a large part of the matches will be broadcast live on the Twitch channel of the Corpo League and hosted by professional commentators, as during the League of Legends World Championships.

With the introduction of teleworking and employees increasingly distant from their workplace, offering an online competition seemed obvious to Team Vitality and Riot Games. The Ligue Corpo offer is not limited to gaming sessions and a tournament: it is a complete and turnkey communication system for any participating company, allowing them to develop their employer brand. After each competition evening, the teams receive a pack of personalized entertainment and content.

These elements are relayed on Team Vitality's social networks and their community of nearly 3 million followers, allowing the company to shine both externally and internally. The support of Team Vitality teams throughout the season ensures that participants have a complete and personalized experience. The corporate league is a unique opportunity in Europe for companies to set up an innovative, agile and contemporary team building exercise.

According to Annabel Labbé, Director of Innovation and Positive Impact at Engie, participating in the Corpo league was: “The opportunity to affirm our desire to see our employees flourish at work by offering a fun activity, but not only that. Internally, we formed a team of 15 players, supported by a whole group of employees. Externally, it allows us to communicate to have a positive impact” ( Corpo League round table ).

The skills needed for performance in esports are in fact very similar to those favored in business: cooperation, communication, complementarity, exchange, stress management, decision-making, resilience, etc. The teams participating in the Corpo League emerge stronger, thanks to a unique and strong shared experience, whether in victory or defeat.
