We are feeling a great deal of nostalgia as we announce that our legendary player, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, will no longer be a part of our Counter-Strike team as of today.
We would like to express our deep gratitude to Peter for his immense contribution to our club. We will always remember his legendary game, his competitive spirit, his kindness and his commitment to the team. Dupreeh is one of the greatest champions that we have integrated into our sporting project. He will forever remain the first professional player in history to have participated in all the Majors, to have won 5 and to have helped us win this unique competition on home soil. We wish him the best in his future endeavors and are confident that his next adventure will be filled with new exploits.
Peter is not just a player, he is a major part of our CS:GO legend. His contributions have been instrumental in improving Team Vitality's results on CS:GO, and his incredible experience was decisive in winning the last CS:GO Major in Paris. Almost two years of hard work, dedication and great human adventure that we will cherish forever. His legacy will remain etched in our hearts and in our history.
In this context, we would like to share some heartfelt words from Peter himself, expressing his feelings about this important transition:
“Thank you for this extraordinary journey, winning this fifth Major with Vitality was a unique moment. Even if I don’t think we’ve reached the end of the road with the current team, I respect Vitality’s decision and I wish them the best for the future. I believe I’m capable of continuing to evolve at the highest level. And I’m going to take advantage of my vacation to explore the possibilities that this new chapter of my life offers me. It’s obvious that I’d like to win a 6th Major in my hometown next year. But winning a Major is not easy, and I’d like to find a team that shares my ambition, my professionalism and my willingness to give everything to achieve my goal.”
While we feel the weight of his departure, we also recognize that change is an integral part of club life. Peter’s departure gives us the opportunity to bring new talent into our team to build a new generation of champions. Head Coach Danny “Zonic” Sørensen firmly believes that this transition, while difficult, will allow us to cultivate new talent and strategies that will keep our team at the forefront of the Counter-Strike scene.
With this in mind, we are thrilled to announce that Shahar “flameZ” Shushan is joining Team Vitality. A young Counter-Strike prodigy, Shahar has a bright future ahead of him and we are confident that under Zonic’s leadership and alongside our players, he will thrive and continue Team Vitality’s legacy in the game.
We thank our fans for their continued support during this transition. We are excited for the future and assure you that we will do everything to make you proud.
