LE RETOUR À DU CHAMPION JAVOKHIR SINDAROV DANS LA RUCHE

A CHAMPION RETURNS HOME: TEAM VITALITY SIGNS JAVOKHIR SINDAROV

Today, Team Vitality is thrilled to announce the signing of Javokhir Sindarov, who will rejoin the organisation’s Chess roster for 2026 and 2027.

Fresh off his victory at the 2026 Candidates Tournament, and already crowned 2025 FIDE World Cup Champion, Sindarov is now widely tipped to become the next World Chess Champion. His rapid rise has put him on a direct path to a world title clash with reigning champion Gukesh Dommaraju, which could become one of the defining rivalries of modern chess.

Recognised as one of the most impressive and dynamic players on the global chess scene, Sindarov’s return to the Hive marks a very positive news for Team Vitality. It underscores the organisation’s continued ambition to establish itself at the intersection of chess and esports, strengthening both its competitive lineup and its international reach.

This signing represents Team Vitality’s global expansion and growing visibility, positioning both the organisation and Sindarov as key figures shaping the future of competitive chess, while reinforcing its ambition to surround itself with the very best champions.

“We are incredibly proud to welcome Javokhir back to Team Vitality. He represents the new generation of chess: bold, ambitious, and unafraid to make big moves. His trajectory speaks for itself, and we know he has everything it takes to become the next World Champion,” said Danny Engels, Chief International Officer at Team Vitality. “This signing is a natural step in our ambition to be at the forefront of chess and esports, and to bring the game to new audiences around the world."

Sindarov’s openness to gaming, particularly his appreciation for Counter-Strike, makes rejoining Team Vitality the ideal fit for an esports organisation and a natural extension of his competitive identity. Sindarov will make his next appearance at the Chess.com Open, taking place from April 23-26, where he will compete under the black and yellow again.
