Team Vitality is back on the versus fighting scene with the famous fighting game Tekken. While the eighth installment of the famous saga has just been released, the French club welcomes the player Jeondding into its ranks. At the same time, the organization strengthens its presence in South Korea. Team Vitality reaches a new milestone on the international scene and thus consolidates its role as leader in the sector.

JEONDDING JOINS TEAM VITALITY FOR EVO JAPAN 2024

Jeon “Jeondding” Sanghyeon is a top player. He has many successes and titles to his name. Most recently, he ranked top 2 in the Tekken World Tour Grand Finals 2022 and top 8 in 2023. Last year, he also won the tournaments: VSFighting XI 2023 and CEO 2023.

Jeondding has a unique playstyle. He has become known for his ability to win with characters that are known to be ineffective in the game, and therefore rarely used in high-level competitions, such as Eddy Gordo. This is also the character he has decided to play at the very first international event he will compete in under the colors of Team Vitality, at EVO Japan from April 27 to 29.

Jeondding is also a player who is very popular for his showman personality in LAN. He embodies a perfect balance between performance and fun, bringing a lot of pleasure for esports fans to follow the competitions. Also a big sports fan, this player loves to create an atmosphere and interact with the fans!

“When I was first contacted by Team Vitality, I couldn’t believe it! I wondered if I could join a great team like this, and now that dream has come true. As I talked to the organization, I started to learn about the club’s identity, their trophies… and it gave me goosebumps. I want to grow with this club, continue to be a great player, and bring back new Tekken 8 titles for Team Vitality! ” explains Jeon “Jeondding” Sanghyeon.

A NEW MILESTONE REACHED ON THE INTERNATIONAL SCENE BEFORE THE ESPORTS WORLD CUP

With Tekken, Team Vitality now has 8 games and 10 teams in its organization. This new team consolidates the club's presence in South Korea and its development within a new gaming community, versus fighting. Among the important international events that Jeondding will have to participate in, we obviously count EVO Japan, EVO or even CEO.

This international expansion claimed by Team Vitality is accelerated by the multiplication of top international competitions, including the highly anticipated Esports World Cup in the summer of 2024. The arrival of Tekken is only a first step, other teams should be announced by Team Vitality to best prepare for this new competition. With a DNA based on performance, Team Vitality adds a string to its bow to win new titles on the international scene.

“I am happy to slowly return to the versus fighting scene with Tekken. And especially with Jeondding who is a renowned and respected player. We also hope that Team Vitality will be able to expand its fan community by integrating the very committed versus fighting scene! This new roster also strengthens our presence on a global level. It is a huge added value in the context of our internationalization and our preparation for the EWC.“ explains Fabien “Neo” Devide – co-founder and President of Team Vitality.
