Team Vitality announces a collaboration with the world’s largest independent heavy metal label, Nuclear Blast, to release the track: “ Metality ” (The Vitality Anthem). Created by heavy metal vocalist Matt Heafy and mixed by prolific producer Josh Wilbur, Metality showcases the parallels between esports and the world of music. Metality marks the first project in a long-term collaboration between Team Vitality and Nuclear Blast.
In addition to being a major esports organization, Team Vitality has managed to collaborate with the worlds of fashion, music, and entertainment. For the Metality campaign , the team wanted to find a musical universe that matched the energy and style of the competitive CS:GO ecosystem. Led by Christophe Dureau, Head of Creation at Team Vitality, the heavy metal theme was born with the campaign taking inspiration from touring metal bands, strong black and red colors, and rock musical instruments.
The launch of the Metality campaign caught the attention of heavy metal industry figures including Trivium frontman Matt Heafy. With a shared passion and as leaders in their respective industries, a collaboration was born with the creation of a song. With the coordination of Nuclear Blast, Matt Heafy worked to produce a song that would capture the power of esports and heavy metal. This anthem will be used during Team Vitality’s CS:GO events and competitions.
Since its inception in 2013, Team Vitality has grown into one of the largest esports organizations in the world, supporting the industry’s top esports players and competing in the world’s biggest esports titles. Team Vitality’s CS:GO roster includes world-renowned esports players like Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire , Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut , Peter ‘dupreeh’ Rasmussen , Emil ‘Magisk’ Reif , and Lotan ‘Spinx’ Giladi . After winning ESL Pro League Season 16, the team is also ranked number one in the HLTV Team Rankings.
As part of the collaboration with Nuclear Blast, Team Vitality will also be hosting a special Metality event on Monday, November 21st in Copenhagen. Metal band MØL will be hosting a special concert for Danish Team Vitality fans and the metal-loving esports community.
