Paris, March 17, 2021: European leader and major player in the global esports scene Team Vitality unveils the 2021 Pro Jersey, the first adidas jersey entirely designed for an esports team. Team Vitality is the first esports team to develop a model that is not based on an existing iteration of traditional sport; the French team and adidas have worked hand in hand to design a unique product, especially for this 2021 Pro Jersey. This elegant piece celebrates the achievements and events that have marked Team Vitality over the last 8 years, while providing an additional building block to the innovative partnership started with adidas more than 4 years ago. Elements such as the collar, sleeves and base material have been carefully selected in collaboration between the two brands to build the 2021 Pro Jersey from scratch.

Team Vitality’s collaboration with adidas began in 2017 and has been a successful one ever since. In 2019, adidas co-created their first esports shoe with Team Vitality, the VIT.01, which sold out in less than a week after its release. In 2020, Team Vitality and adidas produced two brand new jerseys, including the adidas Alternate VIIctory Edition jersey, in addition to the second version of the esports shoe, the VIT.02. The limited edition of these sneakers inspired by the manga Dragon Ball Z had already sold twice as much as the first edition VIT.01, in less than 24 hours after its launch. The new 2021 Pro Jersey features a yellow and white pattern representing the club’s expansion, evolution and successes over the last eight years, while the thick central yellow line is intended to unite these two motifs, like the team’s spine. The 2021 Pro Jersey is made from 100% recycled polyester and also benefits from adidas Primegreen technology, a range of high-performance recycled materials, thus participating in the “End Plastic Waste” initiative. This plays a major role in the brand’s goal of seeing its entire product range made up of 60% recycled polyester models by 2021. The jersey will be worn by all athletes as well as Team Vitality ambassadors.
Founded in 2013 by Fabien Devide and Nicolas Maurer, Team Vitality has grown to become one of the largest esports teams and has some of the world's most talented athletes in its ranks. Team Vitality competes in most major games including Rainbow Six, League of Legends, CS: GO, FIFA or Rocket League and continues to demonstrate its performance and success with numerous victories in the biggest championships. Over the last 6 months, Team Vitality has continued to build its esports strategy, with a recent arrival on one of the most promising games: VALORANT.
