TEAM VITALITY LAUNCHES ON STREET FIGHTER 6 WITH PLAYERS SAYFF AND VALMASTER

  • After integrating Tekken8 last April, Team Vitality confirms its return to the fighting game scene with the reintegration of a Street Fighter 6 roster.
  • Both players Sayff and Valmaster will wear the club's colors from the Dreamhack in Dallas from May 31 to June 2, 2024.
  • By announcing the arrival of an eleventh game, Team Vitality continues to strengthen its international expansion strategy while aiming for a prominent place in this summer's Esports World Cup.

Team Vitality, a leading international esports club, is proud to announce its return to the competitive Street Fighter 6 scene. On this occasion, the organization welcomes talented players Sayff (Canada) and Valmaster (France) to its ranks to take on the scene. By integrating this new roster, the organization continues to consolidate its position as a leader in esports and hopes to win new major trophies on the international scene.

A DUO READY TO BREAK EVERYTHING

Team Vitality is delighted to welcome two new talented players to the Hive:

  • Sayff, perfection at all costs

Hailing from Canada, Sayff, 33, has established himself as one of the most formidable players in the North American Street Fighter scene thanks to his offensive game and spectacular combos.

In Street Fighter V, Sayff was one of the best players in the world as Urien, impressing with his use of technical abilities such as the famous “Aegis reflector”. More recently in Street Fighter 6, Sayff has found his stride as Ken, using an explosive style. Sayff has continued to shine in numerous competitions, dominating the Canadian scene. He won first place at the North American Midwest and placed top 8 at this past February’s Capcom Cup X – the largest Street Fighter tournament in history.

His achievements are all the more remarkable given that he manages to balance his passion for fighting games with a scientific career. In civilian life, he is a distinguished scientist with over 10 years of experience in atmospheric chemistry and research activities on climate change. Holding a PhD in the field, he has also been invited to Harvard University as a researcher. With his journey, Sayff hopes to inspire the next generation of gamers to pursue excellence in education and all aspects of their lives.

With a career marked by numerous victories and a reputation as a player who is both technical and fierce, Sayff wants to continue his rise thanks to the support of Team Vitality and win new prestigious titles!

“Joining Team Vitality is an honour and a huge source of motivation! As a Canadian player, I have sometimes been held back by travel, even though I have always dreamed of being part of an organization that shares my passion for competition and my vision of excellence. This opportunity represents a perfect chance to push my limits and reveal my potential on the international stage. I am particularly excited about participating in the Esports World Cup, where I plan to contribute to the show and get the fans' adrenaline pumping.” said Sayff.

  • Valmaster, French audacity

Valentin “Valmaster” Petit, 29, is a renowned French player on the versus fighting scene. Born in Paris, Valmaster developed a passion for video games from a young age, particularly fighting games, on which he quickly showed exceptional skills.

His Street Fighter IV career began in 2013 when he began competing in local tournaments in France. Valmaster managed to stand out on the competitive scene thanks to his impressive ability to analyze his opponents' play and execute complex strategies. With Chun-Li as his favorite character, Valmaster relies on a fast and precise playstyle that allows him to rain down damage on his opponents.

He quickly reached the top 3 of the best French players of Street Fighter IV, then managed to maintain his position on the 5th and 6th editions of the game. His mastery paid off: he finished four times finalist of the Capcom Cup (2014, 2015, 2023 and 2024) and twice champion of France of the Capcom Pro Tour (2022, 2023) on Street Fighter V and 6. His numerous titles allowed Valmaster to gain worldwide recognition. He ranks among the best players in international tournaments, such as EVO and Stunfest. Despite a small career gap on Overwatch, he made his big comeback on Street Fighter in 2022 following the release of the game on PC.

Despite being away from the game for several years, the player has lost none of his talent. The latter is aiming to qualify for the Esports World Cup this summer!

“I am really looking forward to joining Team Vitality. For me, it is a very different feeling from other teams I have joined in the past. I have always wanted to be part of a top French team like this one. I really want to achieve good results and I hope to qualify for the EWC and the Capcom Cup. It would be great to represent them at these big international events.” explains Valmaster.

NEW HOPE FOR SUCCESS AT THE ESPORTS WORLD CUP

The two new players – Valmaster and Sayff – will both make their official debuts under the Team Vitality colors at DreamHack Dallas from May 31 to June 2, 2024. This competition is a qualifying stage for this summer's Esports World Cup. A crucial step for both players who hope to leave with their ticket in their pocket! The second stage of the qualifiers will be held at Dreamhack Elmia (Sweden), from June 14 to 16, 2024, as well as at the prestigious EVO in Las Vegas from July 19 to 21.

The arrival of Team Vitality on Street Fighter 6 adds a new dimension to the international expansion of Team Vitality. The French club thus reaches new audiences in the community of versus fighting enthusiasts, but also in North America.
