Team Vitality today enriches its record by winning its second title of the 2026 season, following a controlled 3-0 victory against PARIVISION in the Grand Final of the PGL Cluj-Napoca.
Team Vitality's Counter-Strike team has thus confirmed its status as a benchmark on the international stage. Their ambition is clear: to maintain this momentum and give nothing away to their opponents.
TEAM VITALITY RETAINS CONTROL OF THE SERVER
This edition of PGL Cluj-Napoca brought together almost the entire top 16 in the world, offering one of the strongest lineups of the year. Ranked number 1 in the HLTV rankings , Team Vitality remained unfazed by the particularly stiff competition.
Having entered the group stage, the team started with a convincing 2-1 victory against G2 Esports in Round 1, before following up with another 2-1 victory against The MongolZ in Round 2. They concluded this phase with a clean 2-0 against the reigning PGL Cluj-Napoca champions, MOUZ.
Mathieu Herbaut, "ZywOo," has secured another MVP title at the end of the tournament. The Frenchman thus becomes the only player in history to achieve 30 MVP awards and reinforces his status as the best player in the world and an undisputed icon of the Counter-Strike scene.
The roster, composed of Dan “apEX” Madesclaire, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, Robin “ropz” Kool, William “mezii” Merriman and Shahar “flameZ” Shushan, thus secured a second title in 2026 and confirmed its desire to extend the exceptional momentum initiated in 2025.
ON THE ROAD TO THE GRAND SLAM
This new title follows on from the inaugural success achieved at IEM Kraków and confirms more than ever Team Vitality's status as a team to beat on the international scene.
Riding high after an exceptional 2025 season marked by nine S-Tier international titles, including two consecutive Majors, the team now has a clear ambition: to conquer another Grand Slam and become the first team in history to win this prestigious trophy twice. An opportunity will present itself as early as April at IEM Rio.
Until then, Team Vitality invites its fans to the BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026, from March 18 to 29, 2026.
