Bio

Valentin “Valmaster” Petit, 29, is a well-known French player on the versus fighting scene. Born in Paris, Valmaster developed an early passion for video games, particularly fighting games, on which he quickly demonstrated exceptional talent.

His career on Street Fighter IV began in 2013 when he started taking part in local tournaments in France. Valmaster manages to stand out on the competitive scene thanks to an impressive ability to analyze his opponents’ gameplay and execute complex strategies. With Chun-Li as his character of choice, Valmaster relies on a fast, precise style of play that enables him to rain down damage on his opponents.

He quickly climbed into the top 3 of French Street Fighter IV players, then managed to maintain his position on editions 5 and 6 of the game. His mastery paid off: he finished four times finalist in the Capcom Cup (2014, 2015, 2023 and 2024) and twice French champion of the Capcom Pro Tour (2022, 2023) on Street Fighter V and 6. His many titles have earned Valmaster worldwide recognition. He ranks among the top players at international tournaments such as EVO and Stunfest. Despite a short career break on Overwatch, he returned to Street Fighter in 2022 following the game’s release on PC.

Despite several years’ absence, the player has lost none of his talent. His ambition is to qualify for the esport World Cup this summer!
