Today, we find ourselves at the crossroads of nostalgia and excitement, as we announce that our legendary player, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, will no longer be a part of our active Counter-Strike lineup in Team Vitality effective today.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to Peter for his immense contribution to our club. His legendary plays, his unyielding spirit, his human touch, and his commitment to the team will always be remembered fondly. Dupreeh is the biggest champion that embarked with us in our journey, he will forever be the first professional player in history to compete in every Major edition, to win 5 Major and to help us win this unique competition. We wish him the best in his future endeavors and are confident that his next chapter will be filled with even more remarkable achievements.

Peter is not just a player but a cornerstone of our success and an inseparable part of our identity. His contributions have been instrumental in growing Team Vitality’s CS:GO achievements, and his incredible and unique experience was decisive in winning the last CS :GO Major in our hometown Paris. It has been close to two years of hard work, dedication and great human adventure together that we will cherish forever. His legacy will be etched in our hearts and history.

In that context, we’d like to share a few heartfelt words from Peter himself, expressing his feelings about this significant transition:

Thank you for an amazing ride, my 5th major win with Vitality was special. I don’t feel we had come to the end of the road with the current team, but I respect Vitality´s decision and wish them all the best. I still feel I am on the top of my game and will spend my holidays on exploring what the next chapter in my life should be. Obviously would love to win the 6th Major in my hometown next year, but winning a Major is not easy and I would need to find a team and an organization who share my ambition, professionalism and willingness to sacrifice to achieve the goal.

While we feel the weight of his departure, we also recognize that change is an integral part of growth. Peter’s departure provides us an opportunity to bring fresh talent into our team in order to build a new generation of champions. Danny “zonic” Sørensen, our head Coach, always guided by a vision for the future firmly believes that this transition, while challenging, will pave the way for us to cultivate new talents and strategies that will keep our team at the forefront of the Counter Strike scene.

In light of this, we’re thrilled to announce that Shahar “flameZ” Shushan will be joining our roster. A rising star in the Counter Strike arena, Shahar carries a promise of greatness and we believe that under Zonic’s guidance and next to our players, he will flourish and continue the legacy of Team Vitality on Counter Strike.

To our fans, we thank you for your unwavering support during this transition. We are excited about the future and assure you that we will continue to strive for excellence and make you proud.
